But she wasnt acting like regular timeline Charlotte, I would have never pictured her with a type of guy like Sawyer, I always pictured her with like a more down to earth guy like Faraday though, you know? This ruined the whole episode for me cuz Charlotte was like my fav character until Recon

I guess I see your point, but it's not like we really knew her that well from seasons 4 and 5. Maybe she was just looking for a less serious relationship at the time. Plus Sawyer was a respectable policeman, so she didn't really go for the bad boy as it may have seemed.

Well, being the huge Charlotte fan I am, I know Charlotte inside and out you see. When Daniel returned from the zodiac in "Because You Left" she was overjoyed that he was alive, even though Daniel might have liked her a lot more than she liked him. If Charlotte was looking for a respectable guy then why didnt she go for like Jack or something then?

Jack? When? In the original timeline? I think she was a) aware of Jack's relationship with Juliet and Kate and b) she wasn't really looking to make friends with any of the losties. In fact I thought she was kind of a bitch. And remember that she was only on the island for like a week or so. Maybe ten days. Not a lot of time to become involved with someone.
I think she was happy that Daniel safely returned simply because they became friends while on the freighter (since they were the only two scientists there and she helped him with the memory exercises).
As for why she hadn't hooked up with someone besides sawyer in the alt timeline all I can say is that Miles knew her and he got them together. I don't really see any big change in her character. If you do, and if it made you dislike the episode a bit, then I'm sorry, but I just don't see what you mean.

I had some trouble choosing quotes and I decided to change the usual layout a bit and not have Sawyer in the center, but wasn't sure it works.
