sorry if this was already answered somewhere, but how did Atrium end up with the Eclipse? Same way as Kurai maybe (cause it says he escaped)? I just love learning about your OCs eheh

He was a past assassin that hung around Vladimir for a long time, and was paid to off a long list of people.  He was eventually caught and brought to the House(there was a lot of scrambling about since an Arch going around committing ignoble deeds was unheard of), left soon after with the Eclipse and was then promptly branded by it. The way the Eclipse brands its host is unique to the individual and sometimes the curse has different ailments as well, but in his case it affected him similarly to the way it affects Kurai now. He did in fact live, though very few know he exists at this point.  The reason he lives is one that haunts him, so he exiled himself to a bitter little island that gets very few visitors. This was some time before Kurai was born.  He tends to wander now, too ashamed to head back to his home country and too fearful of being offed on the mainlands even though most are mortals and generations have gone by since his 'sentence' and if he skulked about few would notice. Though he survived, the Eclipse will always have a 'pull' on him, and the nearer it travels the stronger the effects become.  The Eclipse has very clear, strict instructions, and if a task is not done, it's cycle is not complete and it will continue in theory for eternity.  Unfortunately his past actions speak very clearly today, and even though no one can paint a picture of his face, he created a very strong stigma about Archs, as many started to believe they were bad omens, things not to be trusted under any circumstance. Vladimir and Niacuiaro never truly had a friendly bond, but their actions only instilled fear and resentment in the Vladimirian population.  This ideal followed through especially when Kurai came to have a high status in Vladimir (becoming General.) Kurai smoothed that over for a little while until his own mishaps reared up.

And that's a gist of it, I don't write very well but if you don't understand any bits of it I'll try to explain in more detail/better.  C:

I think you write pretty well, I read those bits of Kurai and Galek's fight on instagram and I can't wait to see what happens next :}
So did Atrium die by the time Kurai was marked by the Eclipse or can the curse be attached to more than one being at a time? And does it just weaken its host or eventually kill them? What other "tasks" is it capable of?
What do you mean by it having a pull on him, exactly?

I love how in depth you've worked on creating this world and its history, politics, species, etc c:

Atrium's still hanging around, though he's mostly in shadow and keeping out of anyone's crosshairs for the time being.  And the Eclipse is indeed attached to them both, Kurai is unaware Atrium exists, but Atrium is well aware of Kurai's status and is simply hoping he'll not venture too close.  The Eclipse itself is just a hunk of metal, something the curse was put onto/into.  A curse is nothing but instructions, clearly spoken to do a task, and when the task is done, it goes dormant again until it's instruction set is activated (such as with the Eclipse, if a marked prisoner of the House walks through the surrounding veil, it immediately begins it's cycle.)  It's meant to kill its host eventually.  The Eclipse, although a chunk of metal, originally had it's own purpose, and that was to allow a marked prisoner to walk through the veil without being destroyed.  The Senate of Vladimir caught onto this rather quickly and used the Eclipse instead of destroying it.  They had 'speakers' plant a curse on the Eclipse, brought it to the House, and proposed it be used as a tempting but eventually deadly consequence of escaping the House.

The Eclipse's original intent has been coupled with the curse, and now its current host is Kurai, and secondary host Atrium.

And tyyy, I'm glad you enjoyed my attempts at trying to tell bits of my story.  cx

Thanks for sharing, I find all this lore/backstory stuff fascinating and fun to read c:
It's an area I kinda struggle with in my own worlds and OCs, I tend to focus too much on the present eheh

Can't wait to see more art and info about your characters vuv
