Description
Acrylic on PVCThoth{Egyptian god of time,magic,language...} reaching towards the cosmic center. I ment this as an interpretation of the myth of Thoth and Nuit{galaxy goddess} where Ra forbids Nuit from giving birth on any day of the year. Thoth remedies this by changing the 360 day calender to the 365 day calendar and within those five days Nuit's children came forth.
I thought it was an interesting myth becuase it coincides with the way the Mayans discovered accurate calendrics....once they found an accurate center, the cosmic center{Nuits birth canal} all things fell into place.
That far point is the inner-most point, a blackhole, that holds the galaxy together and creates its rhythm.

well done. i have not heard of this myth before, though i've heard of nuit via crowley.
there is an interesting forward to the title of this that i've heard as well...give you something to think about:
'
yes/no
as above/so below
'
the first line is a simple logic system. the second line is the definition of a fractal. together it is the foundation of a fractal logic system: true from any perspective.
just wanted you to know.

Great! I love the angle and the way its presented. My only complaint is that your forgot to mention Thoth(pronounced "taught") is also the god of wisdom.

One of the best examples of scale and perspective I've ever seen. It makes the figure look MASSIVE! Big enough to actually touch the sky. WELL DONE

Dramatic. Talented. Exquisite.
I really like the perspective and concept behind this. Your technique reminds me on a friend of mine's, particularly the way you worked the acrylic on the figure. Of course, he is an oil artist, but there are similarities I find.
Congrats on DD!

Wonderful interpretation of one of my favorite myths. And I like the way you likened it to the Mayans accomplishment of the calendar. Your mastery of acrylics shows here, especially in the composition of the birth canal of Nut--am I right in thinking that entire flowery display is a yonic symbol in itself?
Anyway. Faving, because nobody does Egyptian mythology. And you did.
