Description
Last year in an illustration class I was told to illustrate a chapter of Peter Pan....I wasn't really into this assignment at first becuase Peter Pan didn't seem very interesting or meaningfull to me.However, after much struggle I decided to concentrate on Captain Hook{maybe the most unique character in the book} and his fear of the crocodile....waiting for the clock she swallowed to stop running which would be his certain doom.
Sorry for the bit of glare on the bottom...

I absolutely love this piece!
I love your take on it, and the design, it's so smart and beautiful [despite the croc chomping his head :3]
I'm glad I found this!
Love Hook.

wow.. i really like this O.O
this is really different than the rest of the captain hook stuff i've been seeing around.
it's a beautiful illustration.. eheh, he allmost seems to have a little sneer on his lips.
the crocodile has to be my favorite part.
also, i do agree, hook was the most interesting character in the book. his fears made me sad...
heh, you remembered he had blue eyes originally.

i love how the crocodile's head is symetrical with the top part of his head! and how it flows into the rest of his head.

Oooh. I like the way you describe them, like the original size and medium.

you conquered a roadblock, took a meaningless assignemt and found something you could make personal about it, and then you nailed it of course

much thanks for the comments
Ok maybe Peter Pan isnt so bad but the assignment was tedious....16 distinct full length character sketches with 4 full color character pieces....then 10 scene sketches and finally the painting itself....nothing but Peter Pan for almost 4 weeks!
Hook is deffinately the best character though..hes different
