The inspiration for the project was a mix of really liking how a self portrait picture done in black and white came out with an emphasis on minimal editing and bare skin, and the lyrics of the John Lennon Song "God".

Anyone who knows me personally will be aware I am not a religious person (that's a conversation for another day).
It got me thinking about what I really believe in life, and where I place my trust.
And I came to the conclusion that the people I have meet in my life so far have played a bigger part in shaping me into who I am, so much more than any deity or unseen force.
Add to this that the last two years (and the last 3-4 months in particular) have been one strange strange time for me with a lot of heart ache, pain, tears and change.

I have spent a lot of that time asking myself who I am and why I do what I do.

With all that in mind this simple project has and is evolving into something very personal to me.
