How to use theses rules:
Each of my stock "types" has a list of what section(s) of my rules apply.
Find the right type for the stock image in question, read those sections and any exceptions or exclusions for that type.
If you still have questions then ASK ME.
Before you start though, What is stock and what is not?
ONLY the work in the "STOCK" folders and all the sub folders in that directory may be used as stock, do NOT use my other work as stock.

Hello! I'm an aspiring animator, and as a practice exercise I thought it would be fun to pull a number of pose reference photos from dA and see if I could animate a character transitioning from one to the next. After looking around a bit I managed to find some that I thought that I could make a nice (but brief) fight scene animation out of. This was one of the ones I was considering, and after reading your rules I just wanted to check with you and make sure I had permission.
As I said, this is a completely non-profit exercise. Just a short animation for practice. Although it will be animated and photos such as this are only being used for drawing reference, I wanted to show the photos to viewers at the end of the animation so they could see where and how I had used the reference. You will be credited both in the on-screen credits of the animation and in the author's description section of the submission, with a link in the description as well. This animation would only be appearing here on dA and I'd make sure you were notified when it is finished.

I have no objection to this at all as long as the content is in keeping with my rules (gore etc).
