Description I know I have not posted anything in ages, hell have not done much art related at all, so I recently decided to put all other computer related stuff aside and get something done (games and all ...) I have as such been doing a refresher model for the Starware Empire at war (Battlefleet Gothic) Mod.

[link]

This is one of about 5-6 different variations on the same chassis.

Comments please as still WIP about 90% done.

Clocking in at just over 10000 faces and is going no higher as this needs to go in game.

Nice work - I was involved in another BFG mod for EoW - but this one looks like it'll make it - Can't wait to see it! Again, great job!

Haha thanks for the offer but it is a Space ship and I would like to give making the textures a go as I don't normally try.

Lol mostly for the weekend spent with the GF to come to an end and we have to get it working in game first (sorting out the code ect before I want to say its ready to texture).

nice! Great detail while keeping the poly count to a minimum. Having a wide variety of designs based on the same model will help to add more visual diversity without the extra work of having to take the time to completely build each ship.

Looking at the detail in the hull, I guess you could call them support beams? Are those physically modeled or did you use a normal map for that detail?

Awesome looking design overall, I played a bit of WH40K years ago but regret not getting into Battlefleet Gothic.

Thanks all round, its a matter of having 1 chassis and all the different weapon sections and guns/radio antenna ect to make each version/ship load out, not to hard really I'm so glad I did it that way.

As for the detail it is all modelled there is no normal map at all (I could look into doing one but I dont think the game uses them, or if it does I havnt seen them yet).

Its not to late to play you just need to find like minded people .
