Indeed it is specific, to the same idea as a 3D model T pose/turn around, it is a reference to that.
They have proven very useful to multiple people.

Do you profit from this sort of thing if you don’t mind me asking? It’s quite a cool hobby that maybe I could eventually get into. Or is this just strictly a hobby and you do something else as a job of which you get paid for?

I very RARELY get any money for it, partly because it IS a hobby by choice, I actively avoid most of the sites where you can sell stock in an effort to keep as much of my work as free (for free use) as possible.
I make a small amount now and then as commercial use of ym work requires a small fee..
However there are people in the stock community who do indeed to it as a full time job, so it can be both.
