Grinning through my teeth.

Lies buried in memories,
And memories forgotten.
Hidden beneath my forced smirk,
Is where my truth lies,
Aching to be exposed to the world.
Like a wound, uncaressed,
I still bleed.
Beams of my inner-self shine through my skin,
Through the intentional abrasions.
Like strobes of light, unseen,
So bright, clear, warm,
Dim my imperfections.
The un-mutated eye is blind to see me,
Only the monsters, over-shadowed by the egos of shut hearts,
Can feel me.
