Description This is, of course, not actually how my neighborhood looks. It was quite foggy that day, and I decided to continue doing the kind of fusion and stacking and merging I'd been doing for the last month or so.

Has it really been that long?

Anyway, happy February - as I write this, it is exactly 0ΒΊ C here and that's probably not gonna change soon. At the very least, it is now clear and sunny.

I love doing this!!! It's so unexpected and such an amazing source of inspiration, but your piece is really something. It's really mysterious, makes me think of a fantastic and scary world.

Well thank you!

I actually have a whole section of my gallery devoted to this kind of stuff. There's also much more to come.

One day I just kinda got the idea - instead of putting bracketed photos of the same image (under-, normally-, and over-exposed) into Photomatix, why not some random stuff? The results were usually pretty ugly, but I've since learned what will look okay and what will just result in ugly noise.

I'm glad you see this photo the same way as I. That's pretty much exactly what was going through my mind as I ambled through the fog that day.

I guess you're right when it comes to combinations that just don't work, but sometimes there's also "pretty" noise. Personally, I love that "aha" moment when I'm experimenting or playing around and something works the way I envisioned it.

Yes, me too.

Thanks much for all the favorites, too. I really appreciate it!
