I like these kinds of bees. They won't bother you and they stay still long enough to be photographed. Although the flowers themselves are a little washed-out.

I agree with that. It's unavoidable when shooting into full sun, even with low ISO and fast shutter. I'm unfamiliar with Canon SLRs so this was more of an experiment. But thanks for the fave
