I officially returned home from China on June 28th 2009 at 0530 EST, although the plane landed at 0245. Thing is, I'm now at that odd phase of jet lag where the events of the previous day (/s?) seem far away yet quite recent (as I haven't really slept since they happened.Basically, the sun set, (sort of) rose, set, and rose again in the process of the return journey. We left Shanghai at sundown, which is when I snapped this picture from inside Shanghai-Pudong International Airport. We arrived at JFK in NYC in darkness but drove back to Pennsylvania through New Jersey, where we witnessed a nice sunrise around 0450.
This is officially the final picture I took on my 3-week vacation in P.R China and Taiwan R.O.C. I have approximately 1300 more that I plan on going through in the coming week(s) - since the idea of a picture telling a story is something with which I fully identify, this particular one was ideal to post.
