Description
it started as a crutch,
something i did now and then
but now the pressure is too much
and i cant remember when
I looked up at the night sky
with all of its endless glory
through clear unblinking eyes
wide enough to see the story
spun interplanetarily
cascading through the stars
and now i look up warily
from ursa major to mars
i know that sky is yours
and i know you're here to help me
before i end up on all fours
though i may be poor you make me wealthy
i know sometimes you may think
that you've done me wrong in the past
but when i need help you're here in a blink
of an eye, awfully fast
now I've always believed in you
from every day to the next
and for me you've always come through
be it in phone call or text
and i need to let you know now
that i owe to you everything
and you are the way how
I've been able to face whats been happening
i know sometimes it seems
like it's all falling apart
but I've seen it in my dreams
and felt it in my heart
everything will turn out okay
because its written in the galaxy
that we'll be together someday
and the contrary is a fallacy.
