SwimmingI kick my legs, and gasp for every breath.
never before could I rest, ashored.
forever paralyzed by the ocean's breadth,
I know that in the past I have gone overboard.
A flickering light, a dream, reflected in the glass.
I pour. I drink.
My mind will take me there.
I will not sink, I keep my head above.
The light, it calls to me.
Whatever I think, when push comes to shove
I'll gladly wait and see.
A warm light, a beacon, through the ocean of grass.
I breathe. I float.
The current will take me there.
