FInally finally manage to gather some time to just put some colors on for this piece of old work. I really like rough renderings like this ( i know it sounds like an excuse) but i really like things raw that suggest something but leaves enough room still for the viewers to fill in the rest. lol..Anyway! enjoy!! well if you wanted to leave lots of room for the viewer to fill in his own ideas. You succeeded. the design looks like it could be anything from a work unit, to a rail gun armed combat unit. I personally see twin long barrel mass drivers or coil guns in the arms, nice long rang fire control radar i that shoulder mount...and presto, a nice sniper/air defense unit.
the way the arms are attached I could also see it as being modular, just swap out arm units and you could make it about anything you could possibly need.

i usually do my lines traditionally. BG? u mean the screen tone(dots)?i usually work on a 1500x2000px on 200 dpi..rather small but fast. for not too finished stuff that is..

I just tried keeping them at a lvl where ppl could still relate to it. Like the Old skool retro space station colors and the suit partially referenced from nasa space suits.

and always leaves me craving more. 
I really ought to do more of this type of work. I get bogged down in huge projects and can never find the time to finish on top of work. Sometimes it's best to just get the idea down quick and dirty. That way you're open to crit and comments while the finished work takes shape.
I find your rough stuff always goes a long way carrying the concept.
