Description This was a goodbye/thankyou present to my DoS at Cambridge university when I graduated. My DoS has worked a lot with ladybirds so I decided to do a ladybird fairy. It only seemed natural that it should be hunting and aphid.

Very nice -- I think the skin texture is especially brilliant. I'm sure you DoS liked it!

yes she did
I found a good technique for doing the skin. Use a soft edged pressure sensitive brush and a reference photo, then in photoshop you can press alt to switch to the colour picker and choose colours from the reference photo to build up the colours on the picture. It worked quite well for the hair too.
