It was a long time since I used a color so red for blood: I made this drawing a year ago, I have been much in deciding to upload it I do not usually do art based on horror movies, but I had to draw a picture of Freddy and Mary Lou.
Who is Mary Lou? Everyone knows Freddy, possibly the most famous (and most talkative, when they are usually silent people) slasher killer of the horror movies of the 80s, which has the ability to kill you in dreams... When something becomes famous, imitators soon appear, and Krueger was not the only supernatural and talkative murderer in this age. The lady in question appeared in "Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II" a sequel to a slasher movie that really the original and the sequel are not related. But "Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II" is a favorite horror movies, because clearly it is like the saga of elm street and is fun to see the points is common in both franchises
But despite being a brazen copy of the killer saga of Elm Street with Carrie's ideas... it's a great movie! Very good movie of 80s terror: it's an incredibly well-made rip off and even surpasses some Freddy Krueger movies. Has teenagers that are nice (you do not want them to die), very well worked "daydream" scenes (Mary Lou attacks in daydreams) and appears Michael Ironside in the role of high school director (can there be anything more genuinely 80s than that?) And especially, the movie has a great villain: a coquette prom queen turned into a terrible ghost killer played by Lisa Schrage (really! she is so beautiful because she has a special charisma, and and it's very sad that in the sequel there is a different actress)

Mary lou and Freddy are for each other, if before they do not kill each other.
I wish you all a happy bloody and funny Valentine and watch out for supernatural serial killers: It is possible that like time, love kills us a little each day XD

Wicked man, I honestly hold that Mary Lou is an interesting slasher that deserves a reboot or remake today XD

As you know, I enjoy the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET franchise and I also enjoy the second PROM NIGHT film, so this is a lovely match made in, well, Hell. I never understood why people crackship Freddy with Carrie when there were far more interesting horror women (or monstresses?) and Mary Lou is one of the best and one of the most underappreciated. While PROM NIGHT 2 is indeed something of a knock-off of ELM STREET concept, they did it such a way that was creative and unique and, unfortunately, the rest of the PROM NIGHT franchise was nowhere was interesting.
I do love how Mary Lou is waking "daydreams" while Freddy is for sleeping "nightmares".
As for the art itself, I always admire your use of colours and shapes. The grim and dark tones of Freddy match well with Mary Lou's bright pastels, which work exceedingly well with the cold floor and the warm background. It's a beautiful composition, which comes off as "cute" rather than "scary," despite the blood and body parts.
Brava. Hope to see more of this couple soon.

monstresses is cute XD
Thank you very much for the comment, I was not very sure of receiving a good response because Prom night is not a very popular saga. Prom night II is a very funny movie with good special effects, it is a pity that it is unknown today, although part of the fault is that the sequels were not so good. This has ideas taken from Carrie and Elm Street, but there are many very interesting things and the story works. yeah, I really like that she is a monster that walks in "daydreams" while Freddy is a monster of dreams to sleep. The daydream when a person is awake has an interesting element to explore, the other side of the subconscious, and is very interesting in this movie (although Mary Lou has other more conventional powers for an avenging ghost)
"cute" rather than "scary,"that always happens to me, I always do something cute, but I'm glad you like that contrast, and the colors. It was very complex to color this because there were many elements and I wanted to think about how I would achieve a contrast of cold and heat. The pink dress, the pearls, the blood, Freddy's dark clothes, the blues, the intense reds, the emerald green. I'm happy with the result, despite certain things that I think I would now change, but overall I think it's one of my favorite drawings
