I'd like to know what catergory you you put an Oekaki image that has been altered as photomanipulation...but it's not a photo in the first place...lol.As I said with the orginal, I did this with some pictures I took (as reference to the human hand) and ms paint. then after creating this ---> [link]
I altered it to look a bit smoother and a bit more realistic...although I was not trying for anything realistic in creating this or else I would have used the orginal reference pictures.
Where did I come up with the idea:
With that design your own shirt contest going on...I remebered a drawing I saw by this amazing cartoon artist in a book I have. It was a guy wearing a shirt or jacket...and the pinstripes turned into bars which held a prisioner (if anyone knows the guy's name by all means remind me of it...I can't seem to find the book right now). I thought..that'd be a great idea for someone to make into a real shirt...but alas I knew it would not be me. First off I don't have any of the programs specified in the rules. And two...I don't think what I do would be good enough to be put among some of the beautites I've seen. And nothing I've ever made should ever be worn...lol!
After making the basic image I decided to play around with it and blur the lines an maske it less harsh looking.
The original thought in making this was to break free of past ideas and also to break free of my self imposed prision of fear.
