Yeah, let's just say Cornelia li Britannia's role in R2 was rather disappointing. It's like the writers didn't know what to do with her. She was just there to provide fan service and that's pretty much it. However did it have to be this way? No. Could she have been better written in R2? Yes. So here is how I would fix her:
-Have her run The OSI Instead of Villetta Nu while being a teacher in Ashford Academy. This idea was suggested by Charles zi Britannia. I mean think about it, Cornelia wants revenge on Lelouch for killing Euphemia right? So it would only make sense for her to watch over Lelouch in Ashford Academy while also still waiting for the right moment to confront him.
- Not only that but also exploring and developing her romance with Guilford.
- She would also go through a redemption arc in R2 where she work hard to atone for the events of R1.
-So when she confronts Lelouch, she would demand to know the truth about the day of the SAZ massacre.
-Later in R2, she meets with her father about what he's been actually doing. Revolving the Ragnarok Connection.
- Later finding out that V.V manipulated Lelouch's Geass to corrupt Euphie, Cornelia would probably forgive Lelouch for what happened.
- Perhaps in a interesting route, have her join Lelouch in the fight against Schneizel.
- Let's just say at the end, she marries Guilford and years later in the future, they have a son named Cornelius.
