I believe the best images I make is those that I create with love and emotion. Some can be technically good but yet its like something is missing.This is one of those images that just got a life of its own , it was like I could feel this horses personality as he appeared on my screen. Its is not technically perfect , can see a lot of flaws , still Im really satisfied.
He is an iberian stallion (allthough the ref was arabian).

This is a gorgeous painting! The anatomy is spot-on and I love the mane. My only suggestion is maybe try and put a little bit of texture into it?

I could stare at your drawings the whole time. What do you think about doing a little WIP with some small tutorial like comments and what kind of brushes you use and how you handle complicated fur patterns like dappled grey or roan.

Beautiful! You certainly have a way with stock photos and know how to achieve good lighting. I wouldn't even know how to achieve that type of lighting with that stock photo, so you did a great job on making the lighting epic. I adore how free the mane is and the gradient background is lovely too.
