Stian the Male Purrloin
Age: Young adult; 19-20
Family: ???

Personality:
Arrogant and vain, Stian values himself more than anyone else. He believes himself better than the rest of the world, especially Perdita. He takes special care of his appearance and hates going into muddy or tight places--anywhere where he could get dirty, in fact. This can be a disadvantage for him when it comes to missions that involve such places. Also, despite the fact that he is normally sharp in sensing trickery, Stian will completely and immediately fall for any con that involves praising him.

Stian is a bit of a womanizer. Because of his move Captivate, he can get any girl he wants--not that he actually wants any. Stian is highly manipulative and is willing to use dirty tricks like these to get what he wants.

In battle, Stian becomes a completely different Pokemon. There is a sinister bloodlust in him that is usually covered up by his sweet way of talking and cute looks. When Stian gets into a battle that reaches a certain level of intensity, he begins to grow increasingly sadistic. Sometimes, he goes too far, and Perdita has to butt in and stop him from going berserk.

History:
When asked about it, Stian will always spurt out some vague tale about being in a rich family but sooner or later getting sick and tired of the high life and deciding to run away from home like some spoiled brat in one of those stereotypical stories. This story of his is a little bit different every time he tells it, though, and no one's really sure where he came from.

Recently, though, there's been a cranky traveling nurse Granbull asking around about Stian, and it's evident that he's been avoiding her. Could she be related to his unknown past...?

Perdita the Shiny Female Nidoran
Age: Older teen; 16-18
Family:
Faust (younger twin brother) - Male Shiny Nidoran
Tybalt (older brother) - Male Shiny Larvitar
Unnamed mother - Female Nidoqueen

Perdita is a rash, tomboyish, and ridiculously short-tempered Nidoran from a poor town. Stian considers her his "assistant." He pays her significantly for helping him out, and she sends the money to her family for support.

Perdita usually acts before thinking and tackles situations that shouldn't be meddled with. Because of her nature, she often gives the impression of an uncouth, impolite rebel, but she simply hasn't known how to act any other way.

In reality, Perdita is the nicer one of the two. Although she never speaks as sweetly as her partner, Perdita cares more about the feelings of others and acts as Stian's conscience when his dark side goes overboard. However, Perdita is considerably dumber than him, plus she has a fear of activating his "dark" side, so he normally gets his way.

Because of the way she talks and acts, as well as her shininess, Perdita is often mistaken for a boy. She hates it when this happens and will explode into a fit of anger whenever such a misunderstanding occurs.

History:
Perdita came from a poor town and is used to committing crime to survive. Well, at least her older brother Tybalt is. She's always looked up to him ever since she was young, but her mother advises her not to follow in his footsteps.

Eventually, Perdita met a traveling Stian, who offered to hire her as an "assistant" and pay her handsomely for it, as well. Taking her leave from her family, Perdita accepted the offer and continues to send money back to support her siblings and parents.
