My friend has a character named Mi-mi who looks just like Neji only he is different colors. For example, white hair and pretty dark gray skin. If you won't allow it, I'll let her know.

Ummm... I prefer that she would use the original base instead. Of course I allow her to use that animation as a MODEL, but not as a BASE.
The main reason to it that I'm not totally satisfied to this piece of art. For example, Neji's hair behaves a little oddly (bouncing ponytail, you see), when you observe this better. So, I don't want that these flaws would be ported to another art work.
And to speak truth, I dislike color-switching in art. I don't know if your friend is going to just switch the colors or to do some extra stuff to it, but... anyway, I (and the base-maker) would be the one(s) that made the main work with linearts and stuff! It would be a little unfair the move the same linearts to the work of another person. I admit that I used base and the artwork is not totally mine, but the base was meant to be used by other people.
I'm glad about the fact that my work interests your friend, and I'm especially glad that you asked kindly about the subject before using. But I'm afraid that I'm not willing to give this to use as a base, since this uses a base already.
I'll suggest you friend to test the original base and use my base as model (but not by copying, please!).

I saw it yesterday and yes it's just changing the colors. She found another mistake but I'm not going to say to you what it is...I'm in for a scolding...she's not going to like the news...

Well... so, she has done it already? Well, I have nothing against the color-switching-work creation as long as it don't be published in dA. But if it is published in another place (like rpg forums in character data or something), she may do it, but with a link to the original piece of art, please. (And Iäm willing to see what she have done of this work).
If she has something to scold concerning this subject, she can scold me. It's not your fault that I dislike recolorings. Just direct her there and let her to speak her mind.
A new mistake? Fully possible. I'd be interested to know what is this, to improve my future animations, you see.

Is she going to do this to do an art work or for, for example, for a rpg forum to descripe what the character looks? In the latter case, you can use Photobucket or Imageshack. But, to be honest, I don't regard as art something that is copied from someones ready work (unless they are bases of something), and so I don't want to see "art works" like them in dA. It feels a little like stealing.
Now it's my turn to speak my mind off. I don't want to sound harsh, but according what I have seen, heard and talked, most proper artist in dA don't like recolorings. Just search here with word "recoloring" and look what you see. Mainly this recoloring phenomena is about "let's take a screen shot from Naruto, paint different colored hair and clothes, and voilá, here is my OC", but also using ready art works. According them (and also in my opinion), recolorings just tell about lack of imagination and an attempt to use shortcuts. It's rarely regard as "good art".
I believe that usually nearly-good drawing made by oneself gets more reputation than a good recoloring that uses as base another, ready art work. To be strict, recolorings are even illegal without a proper permission from the original artist: [link]
I'm not telling these things to scold your friend or to pick fight against her. I'm just warning in advance and telling what many people think of the subject. Honestly, if she is really wanting to make her OC to dance caipirinha AND post it into dA, I'd warmly suggest her to use the original base instead of making it from my animation. It's not as difficult as it seems!

I know my version is very sloppy, but you managed to work with what i have given. I know there's another Punchiki Payappa base on DA(much more cleaner and more...attractive to the eye since they included the eyes and mouth) but I support using bases solely for the help of learning. (Such as animations.) All of the base makers and users on DA where their gallery is JUST using bases isn't quite art to me. But animated bases I can understand where people can learn from using them. I'm glad I was able to help in your development and interest of animating something to some extent! ^w^

You mean there DeviantART? It is simple. You see your deviant name as a link un the left-up corner of the page? Like 'Deviant ~roseblade1125' (roll up if you can't see it). There is a little arrow pointing downwards next to it. Click it. There opens a menu. Next, click 'Submit Deviation' in the menu. And voilá, next it should open a submission page. Fill there the information of your work (like name, category, the file containing your work, does it contain adult material or not...). Click 'Submit' then, and ta-dah, your work is in dA!
Next time you have something to ask, I'd suggest you to use 'Help' section (you can with it on the upper part of the page on the dark grey area just below the ad). You'd get the information lots faster by it than by asking others.
