Heee I like his expression. <3 Hahahah and appreciate the specifying as book!Howl. Book!Howl was so much sexier more of a irreparable cad. After she passed away I couldn't help stealthily putting all the Diana Wynne Jones books that we have at the library on display even though I think we are supposed to use the space for a variety of genres/authors. The copy of Howl's Moving Castle got checked out a few days later when I believe it had languished on the shelf almost the entire last year, so I feel my disobedience has been rewarded and therefore justified, that one always being my favorite.

Ahhh goodness I much prefer this. Granted I was thoroughly disappointed with the pacing of the movie. It's like a whole middle part of character relationship building was missing. Goes from "he's a jerk" to "I love him"

I sort of agree. I think that the movie is much more enjoyable if viewed as "a movie that happens to have a character named Howl and a moving castle" rather than an adaption of the book. Although the book has been one of my favorites since I was in elementary school, so it would have really been tough to beat that...

Haha, this had a little bit of Chrestomanci influence. I was considering what he should wear, and decided that regency-era is a good fit since I can see Chrestomanci wearing it and I sort of feel it's in the same time era.
