I never thought of him looking like that. I saw the movie first so book Howl always looks kind of like the movie in my mind but this is cool

Whoa, this looks great! Though my first association was Teddy Lupin combined with Malfoys arrogance and dressed in Darcys suit.Β On the other hand I havn't read the novel, so maybe that's how he was portrayed there.Β Anyway, it's awesome

This is almost the exact same thing as how I imagined Howl in my head.

Book!Howl art is so hard to find! Yours is really good - even though he doesn't look like he does in my head, he still captures the character and his nature. There's an instant "Howl-ness" about him. I love the expression!

Oh... My....
Normally, I don't usually like short-haired Howl.
This beautiful artwork has just chnged that. <3
It fits him SO BEAUTIFULLY. QuQ Thank-you so much for doing this.

Hah! Book! Howl, instead of Movie! Howl with his irritating pink and blue coat. Nice work, besides the fact that I love the subject matter.

Finally, fanart for the book and not the movie (not that I don't like the movie). I love the colors and everything else. Great job!

Oh, I quite like this version! He's so dashing.
But, isn't his eye color green in the books?

Is it? I was looking for descriptions of him but it's been too long since I read the books and I couldn't find that particular piece of detail.

Yeah it is, it's described as glass-marble green (although less glassy after he gets his heart back)
But I still love this nonetheless! I usually prefer a long-haired Howl but you made him look so very Howlishly dashing. And I absolutely love the way you did the colours β kind of stained, looks really nice...

omg gorgeous!!! Not how I imagined him myself, but totally Howl!
I really like the blonde hair waggle on the side of his face. And the colors are lovely!

Haha, I was trying to place him historically, and I decided that since I can imagine Chrestomanci in Regency-style wear, Howl can do with it too!

Great! The book was a really nice read and I almost wish the movie has followed the book a little more closely haha.
But I love both respectively and this is a wonderful drawing of book!Howl~

I agree! I think the movie lost a lot of the playfulness that the book had. Still though, it was a fantastic movie.

Oh I KNOW ;A; It's also great to rewatch because Miyazaki was sure to add little details and things that you wouldn't notice on the first view through. ;u;
