Description
When I discovered Stan Lee's own rendition of DC's most popular superheroes, [link] ,I, myself, was erked, perturbed, and disapointed. The JLA had been completely reduxed, almost to the point where they just share the same names as the DCers (Aquaman has me particularily annoyed, I mean, really? No Atlantean heritage to conflict the Namor?)
Well, needless say I'm still more of a DC person than a Marvel person.
But that's not to say I have no foundness for any Marvel character, that's where are friendly nieghborhood Spiderman comes in;
Steven Peter Parker was left with his Aunt May and Uncle ben Parker when he was only three, his parents being government double-agents and having been killed on assignment. Steven was bullied relentlessly growing up, only the love of his aunt and uncle keeping him from joining a gang or something else he'd regret. Then one day he attended a tour of a genetics lab where an escaped experiment, a small spider, landed on his wrist and bit him, sinking it's fangs and injecting him with poison. But instead of slowly killing steven, the poison reached deep into the bowls of his DNA, altering the structure.
When he awoke the next morning, he'd suddenly developed a perfect body, and spent the rest of the day discovering he could climb walls like they were level ground, sense attacks as if he knew everything, and most of all the ability to shoot webs from his wrists.
he decided to use these newfound powers to make him rich and get his aunt and uncle out of poverty. When no talent agency would get him a gig because they thought he was ridiculous, Steven willingly let a escape a crook who'd the last talent agent he'd seen. It should have felt good, the irony -that guy could've made money with him, but instead he lost more of it, but an aching feeling nagged at him until he came home and discovered that the same crook he let free had killed his uncle.
So wracked with grief and self-resent, he vowed to make it up to his uncle by never letting another thieving scumbag go again. Donning a costume inspired by the dreams he had of the spider that'd bitten him, he became; Spiderman, web-headed hero of New-York City
Now you see? An origin that strays not too far from the one we all love best. Why the color-flip in the costume? I thought it seemed more 'DC', more spectacular.
TRIVIA:
* DC Spiderman is on Batman's list of Most Trusted Allies (That's one rank above the Flash!)
* This verasion doesnt ave to tap his palms to shoot his lines, he only has to thrust his hand out in the right way
* This version also becomes the leader of Ultimate Marvel's 'Nick Fury's Team spider-Man, AKA 'The League of Extraordinary Spider-Men'
(I'll explain that one later)

Alright. How does a combo of spider-man and the Flash sound? They are both funny guys.

Can I ask you something? What do you think of this I made. segamarvel.deviantart.com/art/… And would you be ok with doing one of your own? Except I still prefer the mask on.

Not bad, and I think I could do that, although like with the Scarlet Spidster... -sorry, really bad pun- Arachnid Speedster, let's go with that, anyway, trying to depict both power traits is going to be a touch tricky

I think I did a decent job with the powers. What do you think of that? Did you read it all? His name is Super Spider.

Not bad as Amalgams go, I'm not sure I would have done differently [save for maybe just sticking to an outlying synopsis, but whatever] nuvaprime.deviantart.com/art/R…
Something just occurred to me; is the Captain America/Marvel equivalent 'American Marvel'?

I don't understand the question. Are you trying to compare Captain Marvel from DC with Captain America from Marvel?

Kind of, yes; Superman is usually the one merged with the Cap, but since in the given scenario he's merged with Spidey, I leaned more towards the 'other' Superman

Works for me. Billy Batson is weak and skinny just like Steve used to be.
