Description
So Duncan was the first engine to not have a saddle tank, meaning he’s a more direct rip of Rheneas than Skarloey, like all the others. Shaking up the process by adding on various outside pipes was a fun process, and makes Duncan feel even more unique.
Something, however, that I have noticed is that Duncan has no bogey wheels in the back. I point this out because the RWS story, ‘Bucking Bronco’, describes why Skarloey has his bogey wheels; specifically, its to keep him from riding roughly. And what is Duncan known for when he’s introduced? ‘Rock and Roll’, riding roughly, and unlike Rheneas; Duncan’s wheel configuration is much more like Skarloey’s, back in his younger days. All of this to say that his ‘rock and roll’ problem could potentially be attributed more to his configuration, and fixed with a set of bogeys
