This, as is not too difficult to tell (I hope,) is in reference to four of the faiths of "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin; the old gods of the North, the new gods of the South, R'hllor the Red God of the East, and the Drowned God of the Ironborn. It also fit nicely with the opening lines of "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" by Dr. Seuss.
