Here it is, another long awaited piece. I can say this is one of the few pieces I've done so far where I've gone and blended colors as well.

Here is the ref for normal Niric:

Basically, it is featuring my dragon Niric, the protagonist of my story Unity. In the story, he has a disability - he can't breathe fire. And what he can do is only but a small puff of flames. I chose this as the "unique quality" for my character. Because from what I've seen in novels and such, each character is different from another and always has something that makes them unique.

This disability does cause something to happen to Niric as well. Whenever he is put in an extreme circumstance or situation, like something extremely frightening or frustrating, he "looses control", in a way. What happens is that he is able to fully breath fire, but he can't control it, he literally cant. He enters a "wild" state of mind, like where his primal instincts kick in. When in this state, his physical appearance changes as well. His skin deepens in color. Think about when Spyro from the Legend of Spyro series is consumed by his inner darkness, it's like that in a way. And not only that, but Niric's forward-most underplates also glow a fiery color when he breathes fire. To help picture that, imagine Smaug from the hobbit series when he breathes fire.

But it is also abit of a symbolic feature as well. The idea for Niric's personality/character came from myself - me basically in dragon form. And this can count as a kind-of-vent as well. The reason being is that I struggle with my own anger at times. And this reminds me of it since in this state-of-mind, Niric can't control his own actions. Afterwards, he deeply regrets what he did (like me).
