I feel you, the clients on 99designs don't have even the slightest idea about design and what is cool now on the web, and they usually pick a crappy design work.

i just can't and don't want to understand how people can pay for a shitty typography and creepy grapih really good money (for a 1-5 page template)

I participated at a few contests there..
Im getting a bit mad of the fact that poeple win about 1000$ with a design i could create in 10 minutes.
But thats how the business is, i guess. Tastes are just so different.
