For the 100 themes #52 - Deep in thought....I am not 100% happy with this, but I've fought with it enough -- I surrender! x3

Why aren't you proud of this?! This actually shows some improvement. The background looks great and with the table that Layton is leaning on, it looks like he's sitting in a room with nice decoration. The shading and lighting looks really well done. I also like the authenticity in the style, too. It looks very similar to how Spunky draws him.

It turned out nice still. If I myself were good at drawing(if you look at my only attempt of drawing art[drawing of Tails], you'll see it sucks) and attempting the deep in thought theme, I would've done Layton standing around with his hand on his chin like when he is when he obtains more information or when he is about to start telling everyone his solution (to a puzzle or a major mystery).
That or the scene from the first game when he is up in Flora's house starting to craft his glider to escape the tower with Flora from Don Paolo.
So about 4 different scenes, I guess.

x3 Those would have been good ideas, too...I don't know why, I just had the idea to draw him kind of day dreaming a little, although, if I had tried something more like your idea, it may have come out better!

You're totally getting better!!!! See, practice makes perfect, doll! He's soooooo cute, and he totally looks like he's day-dreaming. Probably about puzzles 'cuz he's like that. I like his hands, and how you shades his collar. It's all... thick LOL.

I actually drew this once...then started over...then put the movie on and kept pausing from it and sketching...and then drew this one. xD
