So...on the way home from work today, I thought of an idea for a short doujin...All the FFVII chars as dogs, post or pre-Advent Children (either works)...
I won't go into it too much cuz it's pretty lame, but in short, Cloud catches a street dog...ahem... "pestering" Tifa, and attacks him. Quite brutally.
My ideas are really...what's the word? Simple? Plain? But they mean a lot to me, lol
I decided to sketch a bit while it was still fresh in my mind.
Done in Photoshop wit mah tablet.

Wouldn't Tifa be able to handle it by herself, though? After all, she is a skilled martial artist.

Yeah, I thought about that. xD But she's gotten into scrapes before (vs. Loz at the church, vs. Scarlet on the canon, vs. Sephiroth at Niebelheim) so I suppose once more couldn't hurt. xD
Plus, I'm not sure if by the time Cloud got there the street dog had done quite enough yet to deserve a beat down. But Cloud decided he did. xD
I think the whole point of the story is really just to show that Cloud can be jealous/defensive of Tifa...the opposite of how Aerith being around made Tifa a little jealous on disc 1.
Also, I like the idea of Cloud kicking some ass to save Tifa, and I'm sure she does, too.
Also, I like how we're picking apart the personalities/habits, etc, and how accurate they are to the characters in the game, meanwhile, any outsider to my art's first thought would be instead, "Why is Cloud a dog?" xD xD xD
That just goes to show that at least some people understand me. xD

Indeed, but Sephiroth and Loz were main villains that even Cloud had trouble defeating. And, if I'm not mistaken, in the slapping match against Scarlet (a minor villain), Tifa actually won (at least when I played). ;D
I understand what you mean, but being jealous is not the same as defending someone. Jealousy is a selfish emotion, a fear of rivalry (and Cloud has no reason to be jealous of a street thug/dog (XD) in regards to Tifa); whereas defending someone is an unselfish act.
Also, I'm not so sure Tifa would like the idea of Cloud saving her when she doesn't really need it - after all, she's not a princess/damsel in distress.
Haha, I know. XD I suppose some wouldn't even understand why Tifa is a Border Collie. ;D Even though it's so obvious. XD

LOL well she didn't win when I played. I changed the controller settings to be easier for me, but when you do that, the tutorials don't change their button call-outs, so I didn't know what the "slap" button was, in fact, I think the way I did it, the slap button got cancelled out altogether. So my Tifa got bitched. x3
Okay, okay, maybe I made Tifa a little too wussy. x3 In fact, I did. In my head, she did need help, lol, but you're right, she really shouldn't.
Let's see...how to fix...

Well, I gave the story as I saw it the first time a re-run through my head, and I think it DOES work, I just wasn't very good at describing it. In the end Tifa did attack the other dog, and as she did, Cloud attacked him second and took over. Maybe she didn't need the help, but Cloud was angry that the first dog was trying to errr...take advantage of her? xD
It's a really silly little thing and I don't know how it came to mind, but I think I might actually do it, for doujin practice. I even added more to it in the shower.
But really, it goes nowhere, so it's good for pointless practice. xD

Oops, I didn't mean anything disrespectful by that last comment, although in hindsight I see how it could be read as sarcastic. I honestly meant that it really is entirely up to you how the story should go, since you're the one who's writing it.

Hum, yes, that can be tricky. XD I suppose you just have to keep trying/re-writing until you come up with a result that you're happy with.
