Description
This is Neku, in his dog form, which is a breed called the "Shibuken".*** *** ***
...Don't bother looking it up, I invented it.
"Shibu" as in Shibuya, "ken" as in dog.
It sounds like "Shubunkin", a kind of golfish, so I like it.
...I am stuck at work because I have no car, with a migraine and I'm hungry and I want to die.

In Japanese, the "inu" part means "dog", and so does "ken". So I changed the two words, to make it a different word, but still the same thing. x3

LOL it is not supposed to have real depth, otherwise I promise you, I'd have drawn in his back legs. xD It was just for design so I kept it the same in all my pics. x3
I think for the newer ones (Rhyme, Beat) I might have added their back legs because I didn't like the "flat" look either. xD

I think the reason I got annoyed by the fact that I couldn't draw a front view for this guy was because someone I work with is super critical of everything I do, and I think he's pointed out before that when I design toys, I usually design them from the side first, and it made me amgry. XD Don't take it personally, I think that drawing things from the side usually makes more sense, anyway.
Maybe we should both vow to work on front views. X3
Thanks for +fav! And he should look a little like a Shiba Inu. He originally was one when I thought of him as a dog, but he became a Finnish Spitz, and then finally an invented breed to make sure I could alter the size and position of his ears to make those headphones work. X3

I used reference when I was first trying to figure out how his body should be, but this time, I drew from only memory. I will try to draw Shiki, too, of course!

You do not fail!! You are just stuck. I find that with myself ALL THE TIME! I'm to afraid to just pick up my pencil and draw what I'm afraid to. But what am I scared about? I have PLENTY of paper and PLENTY of pencils. LOL Just draw frontal profiles till your wrist hurts. You will get some Crapy results and some surprising results that you didn't think could come about! .... ::sigh:: I should take my own advice. I have not picked up my sketch pad in forever... THATS IT, your "failure" has inspired me to start drawing again. Thank you. I hope to start up loading sketches in the near future. I will start today. Wow..... What a ramble. Sorry.. LOL

I think I drew about 10-12 frontals for him, and my headache was just making everything worse, that and the fact that I was at my job at 9PM. THE HORROR.
But I thought of a way to make it up to myself. We'll see if I actually do it, though.
