I fell back into the Mother/Earthbound series very hard and very by accident. "Pollyanna" came on when I had all my music on shuffle, and I had that thought where I'm like "I should really replay Mother", which I usually then do not actually do, but this time I did.

That was like over a month ago, and since then I replayed Mother (as EarthBound Beginnings on Wii U, it was my first time playing it in English), then replayed Earthbound AND Mother 2 at the same time (EarthBound on SNES, using my original cartridge which was risky, that battery is getting old, and Mother 2 on GBA).

Right now, I'm finally reading through the original Mother novel. My friend had bought this book for me for my birthday a long time ago, but before she handed it off, she started reading it, and fell so in love with it I let her keep it. But, all this replaying of Mother games brought it back into my mind, so I finally bought my own copy (for you don't even want to know how much, ugh, things keep getting more vintage and pricey as time goes on) and started reading it.

I found one part very funny, and roughly translated it to show it to my friend, and she lightly suggested I translate the whole novel. I figured by now, someone in the EB community would have (they're very ambitious folks), but apparently no one has so...yeah...I started doing that.

It's going to be quite a project, but if I can survive it, I'm gonna feel really good.

In the meantime, art may be scarce from me (ADHD means when I hyperfocus on one thing like this (translation), it's damn near impossible (and not very productive anyway) to do anything else, but...Japanese translation jobs also exist, so it's not bad to beef up THAT portfolio, too. So. Here goes.)

Anyway, enjoy this Ness, and the Exit Mouse which is also actually Munchie.
