Yeah so I totally forgot about this little anime convention near my house called Clover Con, and it's like way less than a month away, and I want to get an artist's table there...but uhhh...I've been focusing so much on that Pony convention that I haven't amassed much anime/game art for prints! So...I thought I'd start with the basics, so here's Pikachu!...It's sad that I actually had to re-do this several times, because I wanted a rougher, sketch/paint look, and all my art is always so smooth and polished-looking. I get a lot of compliments on that, but honestly I admire the sketchier/painterly digital stuff more, and so I'm going backwards, learning how to be a bit messier as opposed to too smooth. xD
Also this only took maybe like....2 hours! That's AMAZING - it's interesting to see how fast you can work with a figurative gun to your head. x3 It's not that I want to make money at this convention so much as I don't want just a table full of ponies.
ANYWAY ENJOY PIKACHU!
If I find time I will be doing a few more simple things like this for the con, other Pokemon, and maybe some KIMBA fanart (yay!)

The different style is a fun touch. I think it makes a piece look much more soft. Still love your original style though!

You've captured this fella brilliantly, I may not be a fan of Pokemon but it doesn't stop me admiring some of the designs, or thinking Pikachu is cute aswell

That show has a very strange style! I don't think I could interpret it very well...but if I got into it, I'm sure I'd draw fanart of it at some point!
Right now, I think I'm going to stick to mostly animal characters (Kimba, Pokemon, maybe Luna from Sailor Moon), because they are easier for me and take less time, and I don't have much time to spare before the con! x3

What's your secret? It took me 5 hours to make a picture with special shadowing and I receive no faves.

I don't know if I have a secret, really - although I have been on this website for 9 years (I think?) and one of the reasons I get a lot of favorites is because in those 9 years I have made a lot of friends, and they always favorite my art!
But as far as advice goes...I guess a good idea would be to post very often. I think I get the most new watchers when I have a lot of art to post!

500 HOURS? xD You're a nutter. I played Pokemon Black for I think about 700 hours now, but most of that is because I play it while I'm doing other things (artwork, work, etc.) xD
