In case you don't click the link, I still want to announce that the dogifying thing and I aren't getting along, and I may cease doing it except in cases in which it feels right.
Spirit Camera/Fatal Frame fanart is a case in which it didn't feel right and I need to work on not avoiding humans any more.

Fatal Frame 2 is great. I haven't officially beaten it, and my copy wandered off somewhere, but I plan on getting another and finishing it someday. x3

Same here! I can't play games on a PC, it just feels weird. I had one ROM once, back in the day (over 10 years ago now!), didn't like it, and never looked back. x3

WAY too short, and if you aren't playing it in the direct sunlight, you NEED a lamp right over the booklet, it's ridiculous. But AWESOME, overall, I loved it!
It's one of the only times I've wished for a game to be longer. xD I beat it in one sitting! Or...standing...and spinning in circles...

Somewhere in the chaos of my husband and I's things I have a copy of Spirit Camera, LOVE THE GAME...but you're right on the having to be in a lot of light XD Makes it easier to be able to access the AR aspect that this game is, if I'm not mistaken, HEAVILY relies on for playing this game. Especially for being able to use the book that comes w/the game that you have to use w/the game. Love the feel of this piece; really plays on the theme that this piece is for and draws on the game.

Yeah, it's almost contradictory that for such a dark, creepy game, you need the brightest light possible to play it. xD BUT, if you have it running well, it's just so fun!

It's not so much that I haven't decided to play it, it's that I'm going through my backlog in (somewhat) shortest-to-longest order. xD So, it will be played, but as an RPG, it's kinda far back on the queue.
(Spirit Camera was 3 hours long, so, I tackled it in one evening) xD
Although SillydogTheGreat is very impatient for me to play Final Fantasy XII, so despite it being one of the longest games on my backlog...it might get some priority.

There's just various minutiae to combat, elements, and leveling in LoD. But it's fun minutiae! If you know about it before going into the game, it makes it a lot better experience. And this isn't to spoil the game. They aren't spoilers. In fact, I wish the game would teach you about them, but... they don't. XD

Very cool. Love that game. But wait... I kinda have to disagree on the whole no more "dogifying" point. Personally I really like when you use anthropomorphic dogs and canines (Bias alert: I'm a Furry so of COURSE I do) as a replacement for game characters. It's unique, and the way you do it works really well. Also it's just fucking adorable <3 For a game with a very dark tone like this, I can see the conflict in nature and style. But for the most part, I think it works very well (For example your Kingdom Heats, LoZ and The World Ends With You fan art). But it would also be cool to see some Human drawings too.

Well, I think you've said it perfectly! I think it's that in my happy little brain, the dog thing works with some games (Kingdom Hearts, and even Xenoblade), but not with others, and yet there have been times (like this one!) where I powered through my discomfort with drawing certain characters as dogs just to be able to post some fanart of a game I'm currently loopy for without having to leave my comfort zone. But, I think this was my breaking point - I think I'm going to use my own frustration against me (in a good way), and when I am lovin' on a game like Fatal Frame, where the dog thing doesn't feel right, I'll need to try harder to draw the characters as humans.
I'll never give up the dog thing entirely, that's not what needs to stop. What needs to stop is doing the dog thing when it doesn't feel right to me.
Humans...they're tough. And aggravating. And stressful. But in the end, I'll never get good at them by hiding behind dogs, so...well, I'm hoping the frustration I felt here will push me a little harder. x3
