Description UPDATE 10/31/2023: Renamed the map.

Basically in this timeline, the Brits manage to get permanent control of the Dutch East Indies past 1811. Kingdoms are allowed to govern their domains under the British East Indies administration; Singapore is still built in 1819 and goes on to become capital in 1959 (Batavia was the capital prior to that), Kuala Lumpur develops like OTL does, the province of Southern Papua becomes its own country in 1965, etc.

Some changes:
  • Kristangs are still prevalent, and the Merdicans (OTL Mardijkers) still exist.
  • Indonesia's cities aren't trashy, but are more along the lines of Malaysia.
  • There are three popular games in Insulindia, and are as follows:
    • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, which is associated with athletic soccer-playing kids;
    • Friday Night Funkin', the star of all the games (inherited from a prior Altdonesia timeline), and;
    • Cookie Run, which is associable with random kids.
  • Insulindians aren't as toxic as IOTL when it comes to gaming, instead being somewhat more friendly and patient like Malaysians and Singaporeans.
  • They'd have Charles III as their King, Halimah Yacob as his Governor-General and Daniel de Bekker from Altdonesia as PM.
  • Popular Insulindian stereotype: a LOT of otakus.

However not a lot changes, apart from Indonesia being Bri'ish, and others as follows:

  • The cartoons of OTL Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia still exist.
  • NDP still held in Singapore (it's the capital).
  • The Filipinos keep their Sabah claim.
  • Regional stereotypes are barely if at all changed.
  • Indomie in all but name (it's called Nusamie ITTL) is still popular like IOTL.
  • The Petronas Towers still exist but are called the Pertamina Twin Towers.

More changes and In Spite of a Nail moments to come.
