Description If you're an Undertale fan and haven't read Flowey Is Not A Good Life Coach, HOLY CRAP PLEASE GO READ IT, it is incredibly written and there are so much feels. I highly recommend it.

So about the art: I guess it's kinda spoiler-ish for FINAGLC. Anyway, being the theatre nerd I am, I was listening to good ol' Next To Normal, when suddenly the song clicked with FINAGLC (what is it about Next To Normal that always makes me think of Undertale?). If it's possible, listen to the song and read it at the same time; the beats in the artwork feel awkward without the music. Also, I skipped a couple lyrics near the beginning, I was having trouble designing the panels for the words. Just FYI.

Enjoy! Have a good day!

Duuuuude, this song is SO fitting for this fic. 8O Like, damn son, I've had a few songs in mind myself for future prospective fanart, but none have come this close to summarizing how creepy and awful the entire situation in this fic is. And it's so upbeat, too, which almost makes it worse, in a way.

I really like the paneling here (though the fact that you skipped part of the first verse threw me off considerably my first readthrough, and only after I read the description and listened to the song again did I realize that little fact), and yeesh, I was wincing multiple times looking at this. Poor Papyrus. ;_; He's been through so much in this fic. I hope Sans is able to save him soon.

It's crazy, right? Next to Normal has even more songs that really seem to fit with Undertale, the more I listen to the Broadway soundtrack the more I connect the two.

Thanks for your nice words! I did this all in an afternoon, and it was only by the time I had nearly finished inking it that I realized I hadn't gone back and tried to design panels for some of the first verse. I kinda had to go without them, sorry it threw you off.

Ooo, really? Mind sharing a link or two? I'm always up for expanding my music library.

You're welcome! Ah, no worries, every new art project is a learning experience. I can't believe you did this all in an afternoon though. Lyric comics usually take awhile, from my experience.

Holy smokes--I saw this when the author posted it to their Tumblr just now. I recognized the song because I've watched a musical that parodied this song. And good grief, it fits SCARILY well. I love the layout and composition of the different panels too--excellent work!

Thank you so so so much! I was worried if it came out looking okay or not.
I was just going about my business one day, driving to Jamba Juice or something, and this song came on and BAM!!! It just fit. It was almost creepy, it felt meant for it :0

I agree that it's a good story...only, it left off in a cliffhanger and hasn't been updated in over a month.

I typically start to abandon stories I've read when a month goes by with no update; this story is good enough that I'm giving it a little longer (as I actually remember what's happened in it so far), but once it reaches a point where I'd have to go back to re-read it to remember what the story was about and where it left off...that's when I call it quits even for really good stories.
I also start to worry when a fic hasn't been updated in over a month, because often times, the writer will just abandon it even if it was a really good read/story; I've seen it happen way too much.

This is why fanfic writers need to FINISH their stories BEFORE they post them online, then periodically post the chapters.  Even if they wait a week between updates, fine...anything past that is pushing it, to be honest.

Again, it is an excellent story full of feels, and it's the first one in my "unfinished" bookmark folder I check for any updates...but I can't label it as "superb" due to lack of updates and it being unfinished (if it ever does get finished).

As someone who has written a multichapter fanfiction, I will say it is extremely difficult to write a large number of chapters without encouragement from reviews. I can usually only write about 1-3 chapters ahead of the one I post.

Besides, FINAGLC has extremely long chapters. I checked the author's tumblr; she said that she has already reached 30 pages for the newest chapter, and she will be posting the last two at the same time.

From what I've seen, she also has some health issues she is trying to deal with, bad neighbors, and stressful work. Give her a break.

However, I will say you are more polite than many of the people who want an update. People have said some very rude things about her since she hasn't updated for a while.

Ah.  Health reasons is acceptable.  I had to stop working on my comic when I got a superinfection (SIBO), so I can understand that as a reason.

I've written multichapter stories, too (original and fanfiction) with fairly lengthy chapters as well.  Though, I've never written anything just for encouragement from reviews...I wrote because I enjoyed writing, and I shared it because either I wanted to, it had a message I wanted to get across, or I was challenged/prompted to.

I still write stuff, I just don't usually post it (especially since much of my multi-chaptered stuff is unfinished).  Granted, I didn't always finish the story before posting it when it was multi-chaptered.  My first multi-chaptered story wasn't finished when I started to post it, and there were gaps between updates (course, I had a lot of mistakes and mixed up homonyms like "then" and "than" back then, too).

The typical ideal/suggestion is to write at least half of it before uploading it anywhere...my suggestion is to finish it before uploading it (which is what I try to do).

Welp, I try not to flame anyone.  I'll get annoyed when good stories don't get updated for a long time (or never finished; it's one of my biggest complaints), but that's because I enjoy the story so much that I want to see the intended ending instead of trying to imagine the ending.
Course, I sometimes do stick my foot in my mouth, and I was worried that what I said might come across as rude, so I'm glad you didn't feel that it did.

Oh my gosh I read that part of the story and it was so good.
Nice job depicting it!
