It took me an unexpectedly high amount of effort and time in finalizing this work. Though intended to be a practice in drawing plants and backgrounds (which I have little experience in), I also wanted to draw Elyse in a *ehem* bikini~
Colored version of this image - the one on the left. There are some significant corrections done on the lineart.
I have yet to see a pool with aquatic plants in it - unless it is part of a bigger circulating system, as is the case here. I think it is possible to create a maintenance-free pool when we incorporate natural systems such as plants and circulating the water. The plants are growing out of spaces in the tiles.

Well, some people might be troubled by the necessity of having (good) microorganisms in the pool, though it will be similar to swimming in a freshwater stream. I tend to puke when I accidentally swallow highly chlorinated water like the ones in public pools.

Thanks! I had a great deal of trouble with the eyes in the beginning though.
Up close, it seems as if she's looking at you, but on full view it's as if she has a different line of sight... So I edited the lineart repeatedly.
