Description
I normally prefer to let the background be whiter than this, but as with the last portrait of Sorceress, her arm bands and her boots were disappearing into the background, so I took off the whole lighting set that I was using for the earlier Studio portraits and used a different lighting setup.I still have to revise the material for Ms Amazing’s boots and gloves, just not had the time. I’ll update this image once I get around to it, but until then...
Ms Amazing & Sorceress are the OCs of FDComics

As a photographer, there is a lot to be said for the minimalist background. Or throwing the background way out of focus. A concept that was lost when phones became the defacto picture taking device. But I digress.
Nice work!
BTW: Why does spellcheck not recognize "defacto?"

Thanks!
Lol, same here The studio setup is more fun for the lighting in layers style. I haven’t found those ‘abstract’ background you get IRL for backgrounds in Daz, so its usually just white, grey or black.
I’ve fidgeted a bit with the DoF thing in Daz, but frankly, its easier to good focus on a 85mm IRL than it is to do it in Daz. I have to literally realign all items so they line up with a particular axis so that the math becomes simple, since Daz literally demands rangefinder style calculations since there’s no ‘preview’ of things being in focus, and you still can’t be sure until the full res file renders. So much for focus on the eyeball
I’ve given up on spellcheck. More often then not, I end up on a google search to tell me I’m right.

"I’ve given up on spellcheck. More often then not, I end up on a google search to tell me I’m right. "
It is surprising how many times a Bing search shows that the word was spelled correctly. So here's a quickie quiz: what word is always misspelled?

Because it's "de facto" (or "of fact" in Latin.) /grammarnerd

1) It was a rhetorical question.
2) Spell check returned only defector as the word for which I was typing.
3)
please enlarge this screen grab showing "defacto" as one word.

Ummm, OK. I was trying to be helpful? You can spell it however you want to, I'm not a prescriptivist when it comes to language. If people spell it "defacto," then de facto, it becomes defacto.
But I really don't want to get into a grammar argument on Deviantart. Have a great day, stay safe, etc.!
