Well, this is a birthday present for a friend of mine. The subject is Australian actor, Jesse Spencer (or Dr. Chase on the series House.) Personally, I like Hugh Laurie better (ah those eyes and sarcastic, bitter nature
) but since it was for a present...oh well, maybe next time and in colored pencils 
The fact that the original picture was taken years ago + my "artistic liberties" makes him look a bit different. I took a picture this time which accounts for why the drawing is somewhat blurry with minimal shading in some areas. Other than that, constructive criticism much appreciated!Thanks for looking!

Well, really you did a great job. I recognised him from the thumbnail before I saw his name on the border. Your shading on the face is really good, and like I said so is the likeness. The only thing I can suggest is perhaps putting more detail into the hair and a bit more in the eyes, to make them really pop - because I know he's got gorgeous eyes haha.
You also get major points for House.

The critique is great--I completely agree with you. My newest goal has been to improve hair. The original photo was a bit dark so it was difficult to put alot of detail in the eyes. However, I still have it and can make something up
House is definately one of the best.

Ive never seen that... The reason I like House because he is old(though he trys to act young) and everyone thinks he is wrong all of the time but he usuaily isnt. Plus he does things diffrently than other TV doctors.

Although I am no Michaelangelo, and weill never claim to be, I do know when I see good work. Despite some inconsitancies on and around the nose, it appears to be well thought-out and put together. Congratulations.

your Photo-realist approach is great, portraiture is the hardest form of art there is. Although it is blurred, I still marvel at your abilities ... keep it up, and keep posting your art
