She was struggling all night and fell asleep at dawn. The morning sun shone through the little window above the bed. Acasa didn't wake up at all. She was caught in a nightmare.

"Get out! Right now!" A man with a scary face yanked a little girl by hair, shouting, "Don't you want to help her? Then go! Go! Right now! Never appear in my sight!"
"..." Tears like pouring rain but she didn't say a word.
"Don't you try to pity me! I don't want to see you!" A sick woman in bed slapped the little girl hardly on the face.
"Leave!"

Parents love their children with their own lives. There are some exceptions.
Having no friend, yet she got her families and the family used to be happy. She was too young to understand that why her family treated her like monsters all of a sudden.
She still believed in love so she returned to her sick mother. Seeing Acasa back to her, the mother changed a bit. The times that she shouted at her daughter were decreasing, until another woman stepped in.
All was blamed on the little girl.
Since she was hated by all, she decided to flee but they caught her back.
She wanted to die.
And successfully, she fled from the dark chamber.
Run, run and run! Eventually
In the forest, she found a place to hang herself.

"Hey, Ask!" Some familiar voice was calling her name, "Ace, Sabo, there's water on her face!"
"That's tears, you idiot!" Ace snapped. Sabo sat at the bedside and saw her struggling in the nightmares.
"A nightmare for sure."
"Then wake her up! I'll go!" Luffy headed towards Acasa. He patted her shoulders, repeating, "Hey, hey, wake up." She seemed to react, suddenly sat up, and knocked Luffy down.
She was shivering.
"Acasa?" Sabo called her gently, afraid to scare her. She saw him in blurry sight and immediately threw herself in his arms, crying hard.
"There, there. It's all right, calm down..." Ace was standing aside, brows pinched. Luffy also kept silent now.
Later that morning
They were sitting at the cliff, watching the sea.
Luffy didn't enjoy the silence like this, so he came to Acasa, "Ask!""...What's wrong, Luffy?"
"I don't know what it is but there's something wrong." She never thought these words would come out from him.
"You're troubled. You are not the one you used to be ..." Luffy was serious.
"I ..." Acasa was bewildered.
"No, maybe that's the way she used to be." Ace said, still staring at the sea.
"Ace ..." Sabo glanced at him and turned to her, "What is it you wanted to say?"
"..." The girl took a deep breath and uttered, "Sorry, I 'm going to leave in a week, but I don't want to, because I love to spend time with you."
"Leave?! Where are you going?" Luffy was shocked.
"I don't know, maybe go back home." The girl swallowed her coming tears.
"You are not willing to, right?" Sabo held his hat and lowered his head.
"I suppose I have to." Acasa was biting her bottom lip again.
"A month has passed." He didn't know what he was talking about. Acasa knew that she was not needed there, yet she felt guilty to flee without telling her family. At least, she owed them an apology.
That was FAMILY. As long as they were still her parents and she was their child and no matter how miserable it was for her, she belonged to that broken family, to both sides. That was called HOME.
"I don't understand it and I don't care!" Luffy ran away, upset.
"You decide." Ace still kept that calm tone.
She didn't ask about their past experiences but she knew she could trust them.

Parents love their children with their own lives. => I think you're trying to say that *parents love their children more than their own lives.*

"and which really changed her", I don't understand what you're trying to say, if it is that the fact that she went back to her sick mother changed her (your OC) it should be "and it really changed her". If it is the mother who changed because her daughter came back to her I'd say "which really changed her" without "and" or maybe you're trying to say "which improved their relationship" or something like that. Sorry for not being more precise...

It's so thoughtful of you to think of so many explanations.I intended "which" as the fact the whole thing changed both of them.
