That model's got an AMAZING face, doesn't he!

And you draw him very well!

He did, yes. He's been dead for 499 years, unfortunately, or I'd so make him model for me.

And thank you!

Nice drawing, nice article in Project Educate too.Β
I've noticed this aqua trend by a few artists. I get the water comparison in this piece, but what do you suppose is the influence of the overall fad?Β

Thank you!

And no idea. I've always been drawn to using shades of turquoise blue in my backgrounds, so I really don't know why (or even that) others are following some kind of trend.

I wish I could cite some examples off hand, but I don't plan to track them down. It's just a trend I noticed.Β
Even daytime talk showΒ fashion segments seem to showcase aqua accessories. You seem fashionable so I thought you might have some insight.Β

My birthstone (December) is turquoise. Maybe that's partly why those colors stand out to me.Β

Interesting.
I am sort of fashionable, but not... following fashion trends, if that makes sense.

I just like that kind of turquoise blue, always have done. Not really to wear though, but in paintings it's a wonderful colour to use to make warm skin tones pop, or to enhance the coolness of a skin tone.
