...crap, I don't think I've ever posted about this to DA before. Now I've got to put together an explanation just in case anyone is curious...

There's this idea I've had for a video game where you're dropped into an eerie world of metallic dungeons and uncanny monstrosities and have to find your way out - but rather than a survival horror, it's a puzzle game, sort of like a combination of the gameplay of Portal with the setting of Silent Hill. None of the freaks particularly care about you; you're just wandering through their world, trying to manipulate the environment by painting surfaces with Ink to create a path. There are predators, too, of course, but mostly they get in your way by blocking off space or consuming resources you need to advance. I've taken to referring to it as the Frecosystem. (Mostly so I don't have to keep calling it "the untitled Ink project".)

Kore is one of the scarce side characters, the mysterious source of invisible messages she's left graffitied onto walls. She knows you don't belong here and often leaves useful advice, but all your communication is one-way and she is unhelpfully un-forthcoming about herself or her own motivations, other than she adores the freaks she knows so much about and radiates a tone of "I am a ray of fucking sunshine and I will fuck up your shit".

Obeasts are large, docile scavengers that eat Tripe, a resource found in corpses and the fruits of various "trees" - they have a bit of elephant and pig, a lot of tick, and just enough human to hopefully make them both cute and uncomfortable. (Most of the freaks I've come up with so far are named for goofy pejoratives - some others include divas, fraidycats, wallflowers, and airheads.)
