Description
The first unicorn book I was ever really acquainted with was The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle, and his description of a "sea-green unicorn that resembled a deer" always stuck with me. I never understood why everyone pictured unicorns as white horses with spiraling horns...I always imagined a pretty little light-coloured deer with a curved, bone-like horn, a dark mane, and a lion's tail.Did this last October out of some desire to manifest my mental image of a unicorn. Horribly rendered, but I still like the concept, and hope do to a follow-up sometime.
Done in tempera on 9x11 green-toned pastel paper. Clocked at about 4 hours.

You haven't had a comment in years.
I like it, it's cute, like it's ready to run off to it's mother~
I loved the last unicorn movie, I always cried, then got scared of the bull.

Yiss, I used to love the movie version when I was little. Had it practically memorized. They're currently making a live-action version of it, I hear...that should prove...iiiinteresting.
