This is connected to the octopus headpiece and is supposed to be filled with an aether substance that keeps it alive and well. In real life the tank has led lights inside it that make it glow (seen in the picture that's a bit darker).
The tank is made of mainly air-x, PVC-pipes and MDF. It is painted to look like brass and iron and the tubes are detachable. I made the tubes with latex, cord and fabric.

Sorry for the not so clear pictures of this, I might have to get some better ones!

Thanks for looking ^^

Very cool! I espeically like the LED-lighted window and those bars around it. The off-white tubing is pretty cool too.

Are you attending any steampunk conventions or cons at all with this outfit? It's impressive!

Well the inspiration to make it was because of a convention that will be held in my home town, well I don't live there atm buuut yea, so I will definitly be going to that one That's next summer tho, so quite a long time. But I have some aawesome secret plans with a friend, making other stuff for that convention that will keep me busy ^^
And thank you again

I like the looks, but I don't like that it isn't made of actual brass.

Yees, I had that dilemma. Two of my passions are artisan crafts and also prop making. So I had to decide if I wanted to go with the prop making-style (faking it) or doing it the artisan crafts way with the real deal. Since this was a prop making assignment I decided to try and fake it I want to make more things with real metal in the future, fo sho.

Combine the two! I'm working on a LARP prop, namely a copper and brass blunderbuss that works like a NERF gun, launching foam darts with air pressure.

Sounds cool ^^ Would be super fun to make a weapon that can actually be used, without harming anyone ^^

You can either modify the NERF Maverick (what everyone seems to do) or you can go the opposite direction and make something that works like a NERF gun from scratch. My local hardware store has copper plumbing, I just need to solder it with a torch.

Hmmm interesting! I'm not very good at building mechanics though, but I'm actually thinking about a new weapon design
