The Amazon rainforest produces over 20% of the oxygen in the world, and also, is home to huge numbers and wide varieties of plants, animals and indigenous people and it has been on fire for the past month.
Fires in Amazonia are usually rare but happen due to deforestation which have, in Brazil, rapidly increased for the last few years since the economy plunged into a recession in 2014 and the country became more reliant on production of beef and soy, which are drivers of deforestation.
Sinze Brazils new president took over in Jan 2019, he declared that Brazil’s vast protected lands were an obstacle to economic growth and promised to open them up to commercial exploitation and the government scaled back efforts to fight illegal logging, ranching and mining.
Lets come together and do what we can, together we can make a difference and contribute to helping those directly affected by the fires, which extends to helping everyone, considering what the indigenous communities do for the Amazon rainforest that we are all dependent on, wherever we live - we are all connected 🌞

This pitfired ceramic pendant is directly inspired by (one of) the rock carvings in Näsåker Sweden that I visited earlier this year. The petroglyphs in the area are dated to somewhere between early stone age and late bronze age.
Dimensions: 3.5 x 4.5 cm (ca 1.4 x 1.8 inches).

A beautiful necklace for a beautiful person, it'll be interesting to see who wins it.
Also question about the symbol what is its origin and meaning (if any)? Would love to know.

Thank you <3
I do not know the origin and meaning of the symbol unfortunately. I found it carved into a rock at Nämforsen and though it looked very interesting. The petroglyphs in the area are dated to somewhere between early stone age and late bronze age. I know the rock carving museum in the area has a new book out, I want to get it next year when I hopefully go back, maybe I can find the origin there
