FACEBOOK | ETSY | TUMBLR | INSTAGRAM | WEBSITE & BLOG | COMMISSIONS INFOGoing to make a bunch of books to sell at the steampunk market/festival this summer. Have been binding them today and yesterday, it's quite relaxing and I like it after I have been messing around with messy materials ^^
Also aging some paper with tea and coffee, and drying them in the oven!
More to come!

I used to do that when I lived on a small island where there wasn't much I made my own parchment paper by wrinkling and bathing in tea some canson drawing paper. It looked great. Though the ink was feathering a lot on it aftewards.

Yeeees. Hmm okay, maybe it also depends on what kind of pen one uses?

ballpens and graphite pencils do not feather. I think people used to rub paper with resin to reduce feathering when using a quill-pen. These days the paper is so good that you can just go ahead. Maybe the bathing removed some ingred. from my paper.

Drying paper in the oven? I never thought of that!
Could you tell me much degrees you dry them on/by and for what time, if you don't mind me asking? c:

Yep! ^^
Here is a pretty nice guide: www.wikihow.com/Age-Paper-Usinβ¦
I let the papers soak in hot teawater and then I layed them on a baking tray, and I used a mix of water and lots of instant coffee that I brushed on the edges and splashed here and there to give them darker stains and edges, put the tray in the oven and let it dry , at about 100 degrees celcius, for a while. You have to keep an eye on the papers and take them out when they stark to dry and wrinkle, dont want any fires or something
Good luck!
