I have a really difficult question...what to do if my guinea pig doesn´t like me very much...it bites me when I want to pick it on my knees...what should I do

DT: I can help with this : D I work in an animal shelter~
First, without handling it, spend time with it and talk to it so it gets to know your smell and voice before you try to pick it up. Use treats; offer it a treat but don't hand it over, hold the treat out so it has to come to you and eat out of your hand, or if it's hiding place the treat outside of its hiding spot and talk to it while it eats (don't try to pet it while it eats haha). And when you do hold it, support its whole body and keep it close to your body so it feels secure, or even wrap it in a towel and hold it a little longer each day; put it back in the cage if it tries to escape~
Should be able to get it used to you and get it to trust you pretty quickly C:

DT - Well, I cant really say, since I never had any animals like that, only a few rabbits many years ago. Though, is it very bity? Can be it have some pain somewhere that makes it extra grunty. : o
