Build: Strong and stocky, Ete has inherited the muscle of both parents and, despite his mother’s poor care during the pregnancy and his overall rough start, seems to be growing hale and healthy. At a glance, he’s taken after his mother the most, inheriting her longer fur at nape and legs, her rosettes, the strawberry tinti to her fur, one paler eye… but a second will show the warmer tone to his red, the orange eye and dark markings around it, the stripes tipping his tail and the slightly longer legs than a cougar normally possesses, that make Killer’s influence clear.

Assertive and overbearing are entirely correct; Ete is far from cruel, but his outgoing ways can cause trouble. Prone to steamrolling right over softer, gentler individuals, Ete seems bound and determined to blaze his way through life no matter how many toes he steps on along the way. Even if he’s got people suggesting he slow down every step of the way- buzzkills.

Prankster -
With a trick up his sleeve and a laugh at life, Ete rolls through life having a blast. There’s always some great new scheme to be had, and someone to trick with it, and Ete is not picky with his targets. It’s just a game, after all, why are you so upset? Geeze, learn to take a joke.

Prone to downswings and periods of introspection, Ete loves company- right up until he doesn’t. Insensitive -
Prone to teasing others and picking on those he deems ‘weaker’ to get a reaction, Ete can be a bit of a bully if he puts his mind to it. He never has a real sense of malice tied to his actions- and the line between playful and not can be thin- but that he can cause others serious unhappiness is never up for debate. Ete means well, but his carelessness towards others' concerns and feelings can easily land him in hot water, and earn him enemies.

Insecure -
All of which is to say- Ete is far from confident, no matter what he likes to tell others. He dreams of his lost siblings and the father he never knew, he flinches from the violence of Stone’s creed, and often feels entirely unworthy of the place within the empire he has by virtue of birth. True to form, he compensates for this ‘weakness’ by playing the part of someone outgoing, energetic, and entirely sure of his place in the world- and if he keeps going this way, surely, one day it will be the truth.

Overall Impression:

History:
Persephone and Killer were just two cats paired under an arranged breeding, and while they had some fondness for each other born of their shared circumstances, the cubs born were just that- business.

Right up until Alathea of Stone returned for Persephone, after the disaster following their heart-breaking reuniting during Ragnarok, and managed to escape the city with her… and half of her cubs.

Three of whom were left behind in the scramble.

Eteocles was one of the three who made it back, and remembers nothing of his first, chaotic days in the city, nor anything beyond vague, dreamlike memories of his siblings and father.
From his first, shaky steps, he’s had two loving moms and a gaggle of adopted siblings. He’s the son of two loyal, hardworking cats of the strongest, bravest empire! What could he ever have to worry about?
