Description
Another piece of art one might find around iMage.This one is a stained glass window, most noteably known to be in the Library. Perhaps the sharks and lights come from some sort of old, forgotten legend (maybe asking a shopkeeper for rumours will yield some information on the matter).

Vector work done over a pen sketch I did. And yeah, I had to do each of those hexagons individually.
Time taken: Like....2 hours.
And I've decided the stained glass effect is super fun!

XD I posted some of my char plans there, recently. I make awesome chars. >3 I can even make chars for people for a much lower fee than anyone else. You know, like $50, rather than $5,000... xD

Yeah, depending on the complexity of the order. Part of it is that you're paying for a lot more specificity than most jobs. Another part is that it's hard to get someone who can actually make great, professional-grade chars. Any moron can throw some concepts together and make their own char for something, but to make one that 1) fits the necessary qualifications for whatever game/anime`/whatever you're putting it into, 2) is cool and not anything that would resemble a Mary Sue/Marty Stue, 3) is written coherently, and 4) has enough thought put into it to be considered as a professional-grade char, often including a real, complex personality (You're often paying for someone's degree in psychology.) is asking quite a lot. Of course, you're also paying for someone to make this character for you and sign it off as one that they can't claim copyright on and steal from you. Additionally, many find it much less expensive to pay a one-time fee of just $10,000, $25,000, or whatever than to put this character in a good game/vid/whatever and have to pay royalties out their asses. On the other hand, there are quite a few RPers with far more money than creativity, so a $1,000 price on a cool, well-made char for their favorite site(s) is no problem. Prices are often bolstered by deadlines and such, so they can easily exceed a hundred there, a few more hundred here, another thousand here, another 1.4 thousand there, et cetera. My prices are WAY cheaper, partially because I don't have any degrees to prove my proficiency on the human mind (although I could get a doctorate degree by blinking hard enough, if I had the money).

Exactly! That's why those of us who don't get too attached to every char that we make can make money at it; most people who can make good chars get attached to them. Don't get me wrong; I'm attached to the chars that I operate, that I made to be operated by me, but because I'm capable of making an equally badass char for someone else, I'm a rare find. That's why people like me can make some real money off it; we have so little competition.
